Never use Europcar. Very very bad experience with Europcar. Used a rental car for 3 days,but they charged me 4days. Picked up the car from Darwin Airport and supposed to return it to City branch before 12pm since they are closed 12pm during weekends. So picked up on Friday 12.30am, a girl from the airport instructed me to return it anytime before midnight even if the city branch closed at 12pm. Followed all the instruction what I heard from her. But in the end, they charged me an extra day since I returned it after the branch closed. Im not gonna use Europcar ever in my life.
No issues, price gets high during dry season.
Europcar is a SCAM !!!!!!Dont go there they will steal money from you !!!! We rented a car about a month ago and now received an invoice asking us to pay around 250$ for a break in the windshield that was already there before !!!!!!! We notice it quickly as it was an obvious break in front of the driver but we thought that logicaly they knew about it. What is our surprise now to see this money withdraw from our bank account : UNBELIEVABLE and SCANDALOUS !!!!!!
The cars are good, but other rental companies don't charge a deposit (meant to be a hold on a credit card, but in reality I have had deducted twice) so I tend to avoid Europcar unless there is a significant cost saving.
Very good operators. Hired near new Rav4 and Outlander and no issues with either vehicle.No unexpected surprises with the rental experience, which is exactly what you want when on holiday.
