Fantastic customer service, friendly and efficient
Will not hire from Europcar again, stick with the main stream like Thrifty. Europcar charge hidden fees not shown in contractural quote such as 24% Premium Location Schedule (which they describe as Premium Loc Schg). They do not tell you this when you sign the dotted line. Furthermore their km allowance is too low so they end up charging you more for extra kms driven, about 35cent a km. Admin charge is 3.5% and also not shown in their contract estimation quote. Very disappointed and have reported the deceptive methods to ACCC.
I had some very bad experiences with Europcar in Australia. Last issue: I had to pay $734 for a new fog light! I think that's way out of proportion. Never will book this company again.
Never use Europcar. Very very bad experience with Europcar. Used a rental car for 3 days,but they charged me 4days. Picked up the car from Darwin Airport and supposed to return it to City branch before 12pm since they are closed 12pm during weekends. So picked up on Friday 12.30am, a girl from the airport instructed me to return it anytime before midnight even if the city branch closed at 12pm. Followed all the instruction what I heard from her. But in the end, they charged me an extra day since I returned it after the branch closed. Im not gonna use Europcar ever in my life.
AVOID THIS COMPANYIf i could rate this company 0 stars i would. They dont even deserve 1 star.From the moment we arrived at the Europcar counter at 2 am on a Sunday morning, we were greeted by a rude, blunt and very unfriendly girl. She was rude and mumbled her words. When we had to ask her to repeat words she yelled it at us. Upon return of the car there was noone at the counter during their open times. We were then given an invoice over email, very surprised to see we were charged $559 for our car rental for 7 days when our contract clearly states $204.39. When we rang to find out why, they told us of extra fees and charges such as administration fees, registration fees. There was also a location fee of $107!! What a joke!We were not made aware of these charges but the lady on the phone insisted that we were told when we picked up the car. The lady did not tell us this.Would 100% NOT reccomment europcar.
