Delicious food, both a la carte and Korean BBQ at respectable prices. Wide variety of drinks including beer, spirits and cocktails. The staff are generally pretty friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the exhaust system doesn't always cope with the amount of BBQ meat that is being cooked around you and it can get a bit smokey in there. Don't let that put you off though. It is certainly worth a visit and it's nice to have a restaurant like this in Darwin. After dinner you can conveniently wander next door to the gin bar named 'Loading Bay' for a night cap.
Came here for the advertised $1 dumplings which is a great deal! Looked at the menu online before heading there and figured they would do different types of dumplings for the special ($1 dumplings only on Mondays). They only have pork or vege dumplings, I get it's not there main attraction food, but a bit odd seeing as it was advertised as a special... I just expected more variety I guess. We looked over the menu but decided against getting anything else as it was pretty pricey. We got 20 pork dumplings which came out in 2 mins from ordering so they were probably sitting waiting to go. Might go back for something different on the menu, but not anytime soon. Staff were great and friendly.Cashier is in a real awkward place as it's also where they greet guests.
A great little restaurant hidden in the heart of the city, service was great with the staff being attentive but not over bearing, food was fantastic especially the coffee pork belly, even better was the little cocktail/gin bar which is a part of the restaurant, the bartender knew his stuff and catered the drinks toThe customers taste. The pricing was reasonable and my partner and I will definitely be back
We went there for a birthday dinner and were the only table made to go to the bar and order our own drinks while all other tables got table serves and each time we went to get a drink we had to wait at least 10-15minutes, we were told they were out of certain thing to then see them being order and delivered to other tables and after going to the bar and asking for them again they had them back in stock. When on of our people didn't turn up we informed our first waiter who I believe didn't understand us because that persons food started coming out so we told another waiter and he took the extra food back to the kitchen, we were charged for the entire that were taken back to the kitchen and when we said we never got to keep them the owner responded with yes you did and when we insisted she checked, we didn't. The owner was quite rude and abrupt, just because she knew people who were at the table I felt that we were treated like friends that didn't need as much attention but still paid full price. Overall the food was very overpriced for how much we received the service was very poor and the owner was quite rude.
This place was magnificent, a real gem amongst a lot of rocks. Service was so friendly and helpful, the food was to die for and even got a chance to meet the chef. Highly recommended and make sure you leave room for the house speciality ... all most worth the trip to Darwin on its own.... would love to bring this back to Melbourne
