An amazing look into the past of both the RFDS and the bombing of Darwin. Staff were amazing and ensured we got the most out of our time there. Definitely a must see for anyone visiting Darwin.
An absolute marvel and helps you bring more Australian character in you. The hologram shows inside a theatre are mind blowing. The staff is extremely nice and take great pains in explaining the facility to you.The highlight of this facility is the virtual reality show about Darwin bombing. just superb.
Impressive virtual reality. So real that i felt i am in the war zone. Great staff who will approach you to check if you have seen the show. A$28 a little expensive for me but worth it!
This is a very well set up snippet of our past, present and future. IMPORTANT history well presented. Very moving and something for all to see. Our children: 10, 9, 5 & 3yrs. Thumbs up
Its at the end of the wharf so its about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the waterfront. You can also take the free shuttle bus that runs quite frequently. The museum is small, but has plenty to do and I spent 1.5 hour here. There is a virtual reality headset which depicts a scene from a plane bombing (8 minutes) and 2 hologram movies (20 minutes each). You can also sit in the pilots seat in a real size plane. Pretty cool and informative.
