Just arrived in Darwin 48 hours ago and was looking for some Indian food. Asked google and was directed to Darwin Tandoor just off Smith St. It is literally a hole in the wall, run by a couple and their kids. I ordered chicken biryani and to my surprise, it was made to order, as in they didnt scoop it from a pre-made batch. The chicken was of a generous portions and the basmati was fluffy. For $14 a container, I found this to be good value, particularly when everything else in Darwin was generally more expensive.
Highly recommend, excellent quality food, very delicious. Did catering for my Sons first birthday function of 75 people. The food was made by heart, everyone has praised and gave a excellent feedback.If you are planning for big or small catering, Go to Darwin Tandoor very reasonable price and its very hard to get homemade food taste when you catering, which you will get it there. As being a food lover, not able to find any single mistakes in food. Great job guys keep it up.
The best Indian food you will experience in Darwin. Its similar to the Indian home made food which gives you a good feeling after having a meal which every local Australian should try; unlike other darwin restaurant food which is full of cream and gives you terrible feeling after meal.Delicious mix of vegetarian , chicken and beef curry options. A must try if you want to experience real Indian food.
Highly recommended, if you love Indian Food or if not must give it a try. I felt addicted eating in this place. If you love meat or you are vegan there is something for everyone. It is not the best athmoatmos for a candle light dinner but if you have great food it doesn't matter.
